Stephan was part of this year’s Merck #InnovationCup coaching staff. He and his team (“Life Reimagined / Synthetic Biology“) won the Anniversary Edition of the Innovation Cup proposing to turn plastics into biologics using engineered E.coli to produce methionine from PET.
